Election fever in Lower Franconia: The countdown to the federal election is on!

The federal election in Germany will take place in around six weeks, on February 23, 2025. Around a million citizens from Lower Franconia are called to vote. Voter notifications will be sent out starting next Monday, no later than February 2nd. These notifications contain information about the election date and the responsible polling station.

In addition, voters can also apply for postal voting documents with the election notification. The city of Würzburg recommends picking up the postal voting documents directly from the town hall and voting there. What is particularly worth emphasizing is that this year's federal election will take place in February and not, as usual, in the fall. This follows the dissolution of the Bundestag by Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier at the end of December and the vote of confidence that Chancellor Scholz lost in the Bundestag.

Important information about election notification

Voter notification is an important part of the election process. Loud bundeswahlleiterin.de Participation in the election is only possible if you are registered on the electoral roll.
