Weimar: Library remains closed - waiting exciting holiday campaigns!
Weimar. The city library on Steubenstrasse has to leave its doors on Saturday, October 5th. This measure is due to personnel bottlenecks, as the city administration announced in a current message. For the users of the library, this means that no default fees are due on this day.
However, there are good news for the small bookworms: On Monday, October 7th, the library opens its doors again, and this time with an exciting program especially for holiday children. The picture book cinema is opened at 10 a.m. with the story "Tranquilla Trampeltreu" by Michael Ende. It is a fantastic story that kidnaps children into the world of imagination and guarantees enthusiasm.diverse actions for children
The program will be more captivating on the following days. On Wednesday, children from the age of ten can look forward to a creative stop motion workshop, which also begins at 10 a.m. Registration is required for participation, which interested parties can address to Benedikt.frantz@stadtweimar.de.
In addition, a multimedia escape game will be offered on Thursday and Friday, which challenges the young participants to solve puzzles to escape from the "enclosed library". These exciting activities start at 9:30 a.m.
As a special highlight, Hansi vom Märchenborn will tell stories on Friday at 11 a.m. that the audience will take into a dream world. These events offer an excellent opportunity for children to work creatively and at the same time promote their love for literature.
The closure on Saturday is unfortunate, but the reopening of the library is seen as an opportunity to offer children exciting experiences and valuable cultural programs. For more information on the events and details of the registrations, the citizens are invited to visit the city administration's website or to contact the library in order not to miss any of the exciting activities.
These short -term changes and the associated closure are an example of the challenges with which public institutions are confronted, especially in times when personnel resources have to motivate to find creative solutions.
