A dramatic masterpiece comes back to life in Weimar! On Thursday, October 24th, at 7:30 p.m., the Shakespeare classic “Othello” returns to the DNT stage and promises to captivate audiences. The talented director Adewale Teodros Adebisi brings the gripping tragedy back to the Redoubt and lets the timeless love story shine in new splendor.
“Othello” tells of the dark machinations in a society characterized by racism. The black general Othello, a celebrated war hero, becomes the target of the envious despite his merits, with Iago at the forefront, whose intrigues put Othello's trust in his beloved Desdemona to the test. This gripping tale of love, jealousy and betrayal takes the audience into the depths of human emotions and the devastating effects of prejudice.
