In the middle of a picturesque landscape, which is characterized by charming orchards, dense forests and lush meadows, the tranquil village of Großkochberg is located. The small town became known through the Kochberg Castle, which was once a popular destination for the famous poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. With around 600 residents, Großkochberg belongs to the municipality of Uhlstädt Kirchhasel in the district of Saalfeld-Rudolstadt. The village community is active and combines seven clubs. From the sports club to the riding club to the home club "Planzwanzig18" and the outdoor pool association - almost every inhabitant is involved in any form. There was a lot on this weekend: the outdoor pool is made winter -proof, supported by the volunteer fire brigade, which trains its skills in the new fire truck. The church and the parish hall also received attention - the fence of the church was renewed and a new fountain was added to the parish hall. It is particularly exciting at the riding club, which is prepared for the annual highlight, the popular riding tournament.
