Hermsdorf celebrates: thank you demo with fireworks and folk songs!

In Germany, numerous events take place on October 3 and 6, which offer both cultural and gastronomic highlights. From traditional festivals to musical performances, a varied program is offered to citizens and visitors in several cities.

On October 3, the city of Hermsdorf will take part in the nationwide "thank you demo". From 7 p.m. there will be a singing on Rathausplatz, supported by three trombone choirs in the region. There are song slips for everyone who wants to sing along, and a small fireworks will also create a festive atmosphere.

In Hildburghausen, an extensive festival program will take place from October 2 to 6 on the occasion of the 700th anniversary. The Theresien Festival stands out, with rides on the hustle and bustle on Wednesday from 4 p.m. A torch and lantern parade leads from 7 p.m. from the market square to the marquee, where the traditional festival beer is pierced. The highlight of the festival is the big parade on October 6th, which begins at 1 p.m. and ends with a fireworks display at 10 p.m. The autumn festival will be celebrated on October 3 in Kittelsthal. It starts at 10 a.m. and offers regional dealers, creative stands for children and special tours in the stalactite cave. A special highlight are the sound bowl experiences that take place at 5, 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.

A medieval spectacle is also held in Kranichfeld between 3rd and 6th October 6th. Here, noble gentlemen at knight tournaments measure their strength in the "high fertel". There is a medieval market with craftsmen and jugs throughout the event, and a Falkner flight show is offered every day at 3 p.m. Another highlight for visitors is the fire show on Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m.

The Theater Museum in Meiningen will be transformed into a jazz concert hall on October 3 from 8:30 p.m. Swiss singer Yumi Ito will appear with her band. The admission prices are affordable, so the event should attract many music lovers.

In Mühlhausen, the state harvest festival will be celebrated on October 6, in which an ecumenical service, a farmers' market and a diverse stage program are offered. The event is particularly aimed at families, with attractions for children such as trampoline and petting zoo.

On the same day, the autumn market in Mühlhausen also takes place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Here visitors can discover autumnal decorative items, toys and culinary delights, while the children look forward to activities such as a children's carousel.

Nordhausen on October 4th offers a folk evening in the "Jazz lack" jazz club, where the brothers Tim and Brendan O’Shea and the band Bluebird will perform. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. and ticket sales are made at the box office.

Another highlight in Nordhausen is the pumpkin and onion market on October 5. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the marketplace is transformed into an autumn atmosphere, with culinary offers such as hot pumpkin soup and attractive decorative items.
