Gotha, Deutschland - The city of Gotha recently presented two new electric vehicles that are used in waste management and city maintenance. This step takes place in the context of the city's efforts to meet the requirements for CO2 neutrality and to react to the requirements in the area of public tender.

They are powered by an electric drive that delivers an average output of around 448 hp and achieves a maximum output of 543 hp. For the energy supply, three lithium-ion batteries with a total output of 336 kWh are integrated into the vehicle, which enables maximum charging power of 160 kWh. The loading time from 20% to 80% is only 1 hour and 15 minutes. These vehicles have a maximum range of up to 150 km and contain advanced assistance systems such as a dead corner camera and distance control.

The second vehicle is the Volkswagen ID Buzz, which was specially acquired for the Gotha GmbH city industry. It has a total weight of 3 tons, with dimensions of 4.7 meters in length, 1.99 meters in width and 1.93 meters in height. The electrical drive of the ID BUZZ has an output of 201 PS and uses a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 79 kWh. The maximum charging capacity is 185 kWh, which means that a loading time from 10% to 80% only takes 26 minutes. The vehicle can cover a distance of up to 461 km, which makes it an ideal choice for inner -city operations in street cleaning, winter service and the maintenance of green areas. The ID Buzz can be charged almost exclusively with self -produced solar power on the in -house charging station of the urban economy.

These investments in modern, electrical vehicles are in line with the objective of minimizing environmental pollution from waste management and city cleaning. The use of the vehicles in Gotha will be particularly visible in urban areas as well as in everyday care work, which brings the advantages of environmentally friendly transport infrastructures closer to citizens and citizens.
