On Sunday, November 17th, the Eisenach fraternity monument becomes the scene of a moving memorial event on the occasion of the Memorial Day. At 3 p.m., the citizens gather on the Göpelskuppe at the fallen honor times to commemorate the victims of the war. The former inspector of the Federal Navy, Admiral a.d. Kay Achim Schönbach, will appear as a speaker and touch the participants with his words. After the ceremony, everyone is cordially invited to come together in the fraternity monument over coffee and cake and to share the memories.

Another important date is on Friday, November 15th: The cross -denominational funeral service for lonely people will take place at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the main cemetery Eisenach. This special ceremony offers a dignified framework to commemorate the deceased who left us without relatives. All those present are invited to ignite candles and put down flowers. The musical accompaniment by employees of the city administration ensures a solemn atmosphere. This funeral service is the last for this year, the next one is expected to take place in spring 2025.
