Trafikkkaos i Zschernitzsch: Beboere frykter for deres sikkerhet!
Altenburger Land. In a dramatic increase in traffic, the small village of Zschernitzsch near Schmölln has lost peace! Since Monday, over 800 vehicles per hour have been flocking through the streets of the place, which only counts 230 inhabitants. Steffen Weber, a concerned resident, is shocked: "There are even 40-tonneys go through-although only 3.5 tons are allowed!" Grunnen? The full closure of the B7 at Schmölln forces drivers to look for alternative routes, and many land in Zschernitzsch.
Den offisielle avledningen via Altkirchen eller Gößnitz er dårlig skiltet og vises ikke riktig av navigasjonssystemer. "Nowadays, people drive with navigation system and not to describe," says Jens Pamler, another resident who observes the chaotic conditions. Despite a newly signposted truck ban in Zschernitzsch, the village remains a popular bypass route. The residents are alerted: "Some pensioners have said that they no longer dare to take to the streets," reports Weber. The danger is real and the children no longer play outside.
møte med myndighetene bør bringe løsning
Situasjonen ble tydelig under en inspeksjon med rundt 50 innbyggere og offisielle representanter. "They could see how much traffic there is," says Weber. Myndighetene planlegger å bedre utnytte blokkeringen av B7, men Pamler forblir skeptisk: "Så lenge passasjen for digitale navigasjonstjenester vises, vil ingenting endre seg." Another proposal was to call the police more often to carry out speed controls.
Oliver Teichmann fra Schmöllner Road Traffic Authority bekreftet: "Truck Ban er en god begynnelse." It is currently being checked whether the bypass via the village on Google Maps can be blocked. "A solution should be found within the next week," promises Teichmann. Beboerne håper på raske tiltak, fordi B7 forblir stengt til slutten av desember - og landsbyboernes tålmodighet er på slutten!
