SERMATEC revolutionizes solar energy in Bulgaria with a new storage system
In Bulgaria, the company SERMATEC presented a new, innovative energy storage system with an output of 5.1 MW and a storage capacity of 17.8 MWh. This technological development promises to significantly increase the efficiency of solar energy and promote growth in the region.
The newly introduced system is intended to address a specific challenge: operators of photovoltaic systems often have difficulty storing the excess solar energy they generate. As a result, electricity generated during the day is often not used, while grid power has to be used in the evening. With the latest solution from SERMATEC, this discrepancy between supply and demand is reduced. The new storage capacity allows customers to actively participate in the energy market and minimize the problems of negative prices caused by overproduction.
Technical details of the energy storage system
The system includes 48 units from the SERMATEC EasyCube series, each with 372 kWh of storage capacity. This modular design increases spatial efficiency and ensures high flexibility in operation. Each component of the system reflects the company's commitment to providing high-quality, high-performance products in the field of energy storage. The LFP batteries used offer a conversion efficiency of up to 99% and a lifespan of over 15 years, making the solution not only safe but also sustainable.
SERMATEC has also developed its own energy management system (EMS) to make optimal use of the solar energy generated. This system allows excess energy to be stored and manages consumption during periods of high and low demand. Thanks to a cloud platform, users have the opportunity to monitor the operation of the storage unit in real time.
Another feature is the battery management system (BMS) developed by SERMATEC, which ensures that the energy storage batteries are operated safely and their service life is optimized. This innovative technology contributes to the efficient use of energy.
SERMATEC is not only committed to modern solutions, but also pursues a sustainable future for the energy industry. With the new project in Bulgaria, the company aims to support low-carbon and environmentally friendly development in the region.
