The crab competition and culinary surprises

A special highlight will be the "trainee competition" on Saturday, where aspiring cooks show what they can do. From 12:45 p.m., creative dishes around the crab are prepared live. The official opening of the crab days begins at 10:00 a.m. and is framed by the Buddelschipper from Heide with happy shantys. District Administrator Florian Lorenzen takes over at 11:00 a.m. and ceremoniously opened the event with a traditional crab swallow.
