On November 7, 2024, the "most mysterious song on the Internet" experienced its highly expected premiere on the radio - after 40 years! The Kiel band Fex, who conquered the hearts of music fans with her hit "Subways of your Mind", appeared live on NDR 1 Welle Nord. But the trio, consisting of Ture Rückwaldt, Michael Hädrich and Norbert Ziermann, was not complete: the drummer was missing! But the story took a dramatic turn.

In the morning after the performance, the incredible thing happened! Hans-Reimer Sievers, the drummer of Fex, discovered his name in the local newspaper and immediately remembered the glorious times of the band in the 1980s. After 17 years of searching and the loss of contact with his bandmates, he contacted NDR Schleswig-Holstein. Just a few hours later, all four musicians were on the phone. "I tried to find the others again 10 years ago, but it didn't work," said Sievers enthusiastically in the interview.

The band members had lost sight of themselves in the 1980s when the great success failed to do. But the memories are alive! Sievers even kept the old drums on his hayloft and plans to resume the legendary piece "Subways of Your Mind". "I would be happy to see the others again and talk about old times," said the drummer.
