Collision on B207: 80-year-old goes to Fehmarn with a folding bike!
A dramatic accident shook the B207 in Grossenbrode on Friday morning! At around half past two o'clock, the fire brigade, the police and emergency services were called for a serious collision between two vehicles. Fortunately, it turned out that no people were trapped, which made the emergency services easier. The driver of a van suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital, while the 80-year-old driver was unharmed.
The accident occurred when the driver from Ostholstein wanted to switch between two petrol stations on federal road 207. He overlooked the parcel service driver and there was a violent impact. The fire brigade was quickly on site to remove leaking operating materials and clean the road. In the meantime, the emergency services collected the scattered packages from the van, which were confused by the impact.
Curious end for the accident driver
particularly strange: The 80-year-old grabbed his folding bike from the heavily damaged car after the examination by the emergency services and cycled home to the island of Fehmarn! Both vehicles had to be recovered by a towing company, and the B207 was completely closed for about 90 minutes, which led to a slight backlog in both directions. The police have not yet given any information about the amount of the damage incurred. The Grossenbrode fire brigade was used with around 26 emergency services to control the Situation.
