The Christmas season in Brno, the Czech Republic's second largest city, stands out this year. The symbol of this festive season is the more than 400-year-old stuffed Nile crocodile, which hovers over the herb market and this year comes in a festive red-white. "I love our new symbol, it is original and fits us," says Renata Krejči, a stand operator on the market. In addition to the crocodile, a puppet -like dragon illuminates at the official Christmas tree on the freedom place, which underlines the unique atmosphere of the city.
