A new star on the water protection police sky: The first police chief commissioner (Ephk´in) Maren Soltwedel has been head of the water protection police station in Kiel since October. She steps into the footsteps of Matthias Radant, who retired. This makes Kiel a strong sign-Maren Soltwedel is the first woman who has a water protection police station in Schleswig-Holstein!

The 47-year-old brings an impressive career. For many years she has proven itself in various management positions at the protection and water protection police. Most recently, she was the head of the deployment department in the staff of the water protection police in the State Police Office. Under Soltwedelel's management, the Water Protection Police Revier Kiel will not only be responsible for Kiel, but will also look after the stations in Flensburg and Kappeln.
