School in Gülzow: 21 happy ABC shooters start learning!

In Gülzow there was an unforgettable day for 21 happy children, who celebrated their first real school day at the Gülzow (ESG) Evangelical School on September 4th. Under the happy motto "Kindergarten Adé, walk into school!" remembered both the little ones and their families from this special moment.

The day started with a festive service on the meadow next to the St. Petri Church, led by Pastor Stephan Krtschil. The pastor encouraged the new pupils to approach their lives with curiosity and "grab the stars", a picture for the pursuit of knowledge and new experiences.

After the service, the guests gathered in the school yard, where the barrel organ of Monika Lahann accompanied the cheerful atmosphere. Headmistress Marijke Lübker welcomed over a hundred attendees, including the excited ABC protégés, with the words: "We look forward to seeing you and everyone is warmly welcomed at the ESG!". The solemn program started with a small play that the dolphins presented in cooperation with the other groups.

The highlight of the day was finally the moment when the first classes were called up to pick up their satchels and start their first school lesson. The applause of those present accompanied them to a new phase of life on this first step. In the meantime, the parents had the opportunity to formulate personal wishes for their children, which they attached to a desired tree. This gave the celebration a heart -warming note.

A delicious cake buffet caused the little hunger, which was donated by the parents of the dolphin. In addition, the guests were able to acquire books for the school library at the book table of the ESG association. With large school bags and radiant faces, the freshly baked school children returned to the schoolyard, where the celebration was completed with the solemn flying of racing pigeons. This symbolized the beginning of an exciting chapter in her life.

The Evangelical School Gülzow

The Evangelical School Gülzow is part of the Nordkirche school foundation and is characterized by a Christian and reform pedagogical orientation. In this school year, a total of 84 students learn from Gülzow and the surrounding communities such as Geesthacht, Lauenburg and Schwarzenbek. The college consists of eight teachers, an educator and other specialists who help to create a beneficial learning environment.

The teaching structure at the ESG is unique because the students learn across classes in so -called main groups, while specific subjects are taught according to grades. This not only promotes community learning, but also offers the opportunity to combine different skills and talents.

The event for schooling was not only a celebration of the new phase of life for the children, but also a way for the community to come together and to celebrate the values and traditions of the Evangelical School. The festive framework and the warm welcome gives hope that these students will have a successful and happy schooling.
