Ratzeburg/Lübeck. With Felipe Axt from Burg on Fehmarn, the Lübeck-Lauenburg church district has appointed a committed representative for the promotion of volunteers and the accompaniment of predicates. The 42-year-old, who previously worked as a pastor in the Ostholstein church district, has a mission: the recognition and support of the tireless volunteers who form the backbone of the communities!

"Without the voluntary cooperation of many committed people, numerous offers in our communities would not be possible," emphasizes Axt. In order to strengthen voluntary work, he will act as a central point of contact and create an exchange platform. This platform is intended to improve the dialogue between volunteers and those responsible in the church district and develop tailor -made further training opportunities. "We want to reduce the uncertainties that keep many potential volunteers from becoming active," explains Ax.

Training for Lectors

Another highlight of his work: the training of editor! On five weekends a year, interested parties have the opportunity to acquire the necessary tools to design and manage services independently. Ax also plans a church -specific job exchange that helps volunteers to find suitable tasks that fit in their schedule. "There are many ways to get involved in the church," he says.
