Tating, Deutschland - A radiant day for monument protection! On Thursday, Hans-Georg Hostrup from Tating in the district of North Friesland will be awarded the prestigious Hans Momsen Prize. This highest honor of the district recognizes his tireless commitment to the preservation of historical buildings on the Schleswig-Holstein west coast. Hostrup has managed to keep numerous old farmhouses from demolition - a real hero of monument protection!

The ceremony takes place in the impressive knight's hall of the castle in front of Husum. In addition to hostrup, the talented 21-year-old church musician Jorge Sendler is also honored with the Margarethe Böhme Youth Prize. A double reason to joy! These awards are not only recognition for the two, but also a strong sign of the importance of the cultural heritage in the region.
