A bright day for monument protection! On Thursday, Hans-Georg Hostrup from Tating in the Nordfriesland district will be awarded the prestigious Hans Momsen Prize. This highest honor from the district recognizes his tireless commitment to the preservation of historical buildings on the west coast of Schleswig-Holstein. Hostrup has managed to save numerous old farmhouses from demolition - a true hero of monument protection!
The ceremonial award ceremony takes place in the impressive knight's hall of the castle in front of Husum. In addition to Hostrup, the talented 21-year-old church musician Jorge Sendler will also be honored with the Margarethe Böhme Youth Prize. A double reason to be happy! These awards are not only a recognition for the two of them, but also a strong symbol of the importance of the cultural heritage in the region.
