Moldy streets in Neidenfels: What will happen to the renovation plans?
The streets in Neidenfels – what a disaster! Residents are under pressure with dilapidated roads that are hard to beat when it comes to potholes and cracks. The local council had already decided last year to bring parts of Vordertalstrasse, Schulstrasse and Flurbergstrasse into shape. Work is currently underway on Vordertalstrasse, but the future of Schulstrasse and Flurbergstrasse remains nebulous. Mayor Sybille Höchel from the CDU makes it clear: The citizens must speak before a final decision is made.
Citizens' Meeting: A Path to Clarity!
On Tuesday, October 29th, all signs point to a town meeting! There, the people of Neidenfels should cast their votes for recurring expansion contributions, because part of the renovation costs must be borne by the property owners - and there is already resistance here. Quite explosive, because the municipal administration has already promised subsidies from the state, but be careful: the contract for the work must be awarded by the end of the year, otherwise you will have to act quickly or have the subsidy returned. For Flurbergstrasse, the focus will be on the section between Vordertalstrasse and Schulstrasse. In Schulstrasse, the section between Flurbergstrasse and Vordertalstrasse could receive a makeover!
Construction work is currently underway on Vordertalstrasse between Staatsstrasse and Flurbergstrasse. A real show of strength for the workers! The road is narrow, steep and the conditions are far from ideal. Fortunately, the infrastructure is also being considered, with the installation of a new 20 KV line. However, gas and water pipes and a combined sewer remain untouched. The goal? The work should be completed by May next year. Tension mounts as citizens look ahead to the crucial meeting that will determine what happens next on their streets!
