Oschatzer bakery Taube: only five voices behind the winner!

Oschatz. In an exciting competition for the best rolls in northern Saxony, the Oschatzer bakery has occupied second place! At an online survey by the LVZ, in which 523 participants took part, the Torgau bakery Füchsel prevailed with only five votes. Füchsel received 103 votes, while Taube received 98 votes. The twenty bakery from Beerendorf landed in third place with 63 votes. A head-to-head race that the bread lovers kept in suspense in the region!

"A great result for us!" Cheers Nils Taube, the managing director and baker. The popularity of his rolls is no secret: "We bake between 12,000 and 15,000 rolls in 15 different varieties every day, which we change regularly." The bakery has made a name for itself not only in Oschatz, but also in surrounding cities like Riesa and Torgau. Taube has built up a strong branch network that brings new hope in small places where other bakeries had to close.

15 branches between Eilenburg and Riesa

The Taube bakery is a real savior in need! With 15 branches in the surrounding area, it ensures that people can enjoy fresh rolls even in small places. "Our last branch opening was at the Edeka in Eilenburg and we are already planning the next in Dahlen," explains Taube. Despite the challenges that the industry plague, such as high energy costs and the lack of workers, Taube remains optimistic. "My daughter will soon complete her bakery apprenticeship and take over the company," says the master baker.

Currently the focus is on the Christmas bakery! "We prepare tunnels and cookies and will soon open our tunnel online shop," reveals Taube. And best of all: the traditional tunnel for the first tunnel cut of the Oschatz Christmas market is also delivered from Taube. The anticipation of the festive season is noticeable!
