The rental of two award -winning new buildings at the Lindenau port in Leipzig begins after a three -year vacancy. Tenants can move in from March 1, 2025. The new buildings, which include a total of 56 apartments, were completed at the end of 2021.

The property was sold by the city of Leipzig in 2017 for two million euros. The property owner Thamm & Partner has a good reputation in the industry and received awards for previous projects. The design of the new buildings was positively rated by experts. The architecture is characterized by an L-shaped main building body and a studio house with 3.80 meters high lofts. The rental was delayed due to construction longs that had to be remedied by mid -2022. Sales negotiations failed as a result of a sunken real estate market and a lack of loans, which is why Thamm & Partner decided to rent the apartments. The cold rents are between 18 and 18.50 euros per square meter, plus 3 euros in operating costs. For example, a two-room apartment with 63 square meters costs 1360 euros in warm rent, while a larger apartment with 143 square meters and roof terrace costs 3077 euros.
