Bautzen.A new trend has hit the city! The “Mr Secret Packs” vending machine in Kaufland on Gesundbrunnenring attracts curious customers who are willing to pay 13 euros for a mysterious package. What is hidden inside remains a mystery until the last second! A woman who is about to pull out a large, black package is certain: “These are flip flops!” But not everyone is lucky - the risk of encountering unexpected surprises is high!
The machine, operated by Marc Meyer from Löbau, is a real eye-catcher. Inspired by a TV show about Secret Pack machines, he wanted to do something about the waste of returns. “Such things often end up in the trash,” he explains. The packages come from all over Europe and contain goods that were either not delivered or were returned. Meyer reports a real rush: “Customers often stood in line and we had to refill several times a day!”
Mystery machines at nine Kaufland locations so far
Kaufland has now introduced the Mystery Pack machines at nine locations and the response has been overwhelming! A spokeswoman for the company announces that more machines will soon be installed nationwide. “Customers’ interest was very high right from the start,” she says. And the tension remains: What will the next package bring? A small Bluetooth speaker or maybe the ugliest shoes in town? The slot machine adventure continues, and customers are ready to take the risk!
