Bicycle service in Pirna: Temporarily closed outdoor workshops!

Pirna. A change in the weather in Pirna has put a strain on the bill! The city's three popular bicycle service stations, which have made it easier to repair bike since their start in spring 2023, were broken down earlier than planned. The reason? The cold autumn days and the impending risk of frost! In order to avoid expensive damage, the town hall acted and had the stations dismantled in September.

These clever mini workshops were installed in the city to help cyclists quickly and free of charge for cyclists. Equipped with 18 different tools, including screwdrivers and tire lifts, they formed an important support for every cyclist. But now they are safely stored in the municipal building yard and will be a shadowy time until the planned reconstruction in spring 2025.

The stations found their place at three important points in the city: at the main square in Copitz, in Dohnaische Platz and at the Elbe parking lot. These strategic locations should ensure that cyclists receive a handout at any time if there are any problems. The city invested around 7,600 euros in this well thought -out project, but now the cyclists have to wait until spring brings new opportunities.
