Telenotarz starts in Saxony-Anhalt: Rescue service of the future?

Mansfeld-Südharz, Deutschland - An exciting experiment in the emergency services started in Saxony-Anhalt! The telenot doctor, an innovative concept, has been supporting emergency paramedics for a month and could revolutionize the future of emergency medicine. Mathias Rudzki, head of the rescue service in Mansfeld-Südharz, reports on a brilliant start: "The project has started very well and is really well received by the emergency paramedics on the street." With already over 50 missions and a daily deployment rate of around three telenotarz interventions, the success is evident.

What exactly is this revolutionary approach? The telenot doctor acts from the headquarters in Halle and offers support for non-medical staff during rescue operations-and without being physically present! Vital data such as blood pressure and EKG are transmitted in real time, and the contact to the crew in the ambulance is even made by video call. This forward-looking model is currently being tested in the districts of Mansfeld-Südharz and Saalekreis as well as in the city of Halle.

a model for the future

Interior Minister Tamara Zieschang (CDU) emphasizes the importance of the project, which covers both urban and rural emergency services. The findings from this model test should help to further optimize the emergency services and to make it future -proof. However, it is important that in cases where personal medical intervention is necessary, an emergency doctor is still available. This underlines the important role of the rescue control centers.

The pilot project is created for two years, with the possibility of extension. In the region, 52 ambulances and 10 emergency medical vehicles supply almost 560,000 citizens. Other federal states such as Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony and Hesse are already relying on telenotians. A step into a new era of emergency care!
