Bus traffic severely restricted: student traffic affected!

Bus traffic at the Mansfeld-Südharz transport company is severely restricted on Friday morning. As the Mitteldeutsche Zeitung currently only run on five lines:

  • VGS-410 (Eisleben-Hettstedt-Saschersleben)
  • VGS-420 (Eisleben-Mansfeld-Hettstedt)
  • VGS-450 (Sangerhausen-Kelbra-Stolberg-Breitenstein)
  • VGS-460 (Sangerhausen-Pölsfeld-Wippra-Harzgerode)
  • VGS-700 (Eisleben-Sangerhausen)

On these lines, further restrictions can occur due to the current weather conditions. The problem results from heavy snowfalls, which brought line traffic throughout the network on Thursday. The safety of passengers and drivers is in the foreground. There is hope that the weather conditions will improve until 8 a.m.

restrictions in student traffic

The restrictions also affect school traffic. The headmaster of the Scholl-Gymnasium in Sangerhausen, Jens Peter, has left the parents the decision whether they send their children to school. Pupils who cannot appear due to the traffic situation are considered excused. It is not necessary for them to submit usual absence reports, not even for grades 11 and 12.

In addition, it was found in a further research that lines 420, 426, 423, 425 and 424 also depart at the Oberstadt stop in Mansfeld-Südharz, such as Timetable-bus-bahn.de reports. This stop has a daily bus connection, with the first departure on Mondays at 04:37 a.m. and the last at 10:24 p.m.
