Tragedy in Raft: Nine-year-old dies in a shooting spree in Magdeburg

The Floß market in Upper Palatinate is mourning the death of nine-year-old André, who died on Friday in a tragic attack on the Christmas market in Magdeburg. The boy, who recently moved to Lower Saxony with his mother, is leaving a big gap in his home community. Mayor Robert Lindner said: “I am speechless,” and reported that many residents lit candles and laid flowers on the market square to express their sadness. After the attack, in which a total of five people died, the suspected perpetrator is in custody. The 50-year-old is charged with five counts of murder, attempted murder and grievous bodily harm.
