Magic of lights and shopping: Osterode celebrates festive Sunday!

Osterode. A radiant festival of lights and a Sunday open to the city center of Osterode am Harz transformed into a magical autumn paradise! Despite the foggy November weather, numerous visitors flocked to the city to be enchanted by the sparkling lights and festive activities.

The streets were lively when the light fairies danced through the alleys when dark. The atmosphere was electrifying, while people took the opportunity to browse in the shops and maybe already get hold of the first Christmas presents. The light installations shone in full splendor and ensured that the autumn day shone in a warm shine.

A festival for the whole family

The little ones were particularly enthusiastic when they moved through the city with their lanterns, led by the dazzling lights. The lantern parade led them along the old city wall to the grain market, where the choir Voices provided musical entertainment and all encouraged them to sing along. The weather fit perfectly for this festive occasion, and the children were able to win great prizes at a lantern rally by collecting stickers and presenting their works of art.

There was a happy, frillary atmosphere with a carousel and various stalls on the grain market, which provided entertainment all afternoon. The colorful lights and festive decorations give the city an additional touch of warmth and joy. So the Sunday open in Osterode became an unforgettable experience for everyone!
