The anticipation of Christmas is increasing in Saarland! Mulled wine, sparkling lights and festive treats await visitors at numerous Christmas markets. The cities will soon be transformed into winter wonderland landscapes that invite you to stroll and enjoy. The first markets open at the end of November and offer a varied program for young and old.

There are several markets in the state capital Saarbrücken. The Christmas market on the St. Johanner Markt opens its doors from November 18th to December 23rd, daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. A highlight is the flying Santa Claus, who delights visitors. But that's not all! Bahnhofsstrasse will also become a festive venue and will have extended opening hours on December 24th and between December 27th and 30th. Not to forget: the dog Christmas market in Neunkirchen, which takes place on December 1st. Here, four-legged friends and their owners can enjoy homemade dog biscuits and Christmas accessories.
