FCS celebrates a strong 3: 1 home win against Wiesbaden-Brünker shines!

A gripping duel in the Ludwigspark! The 1. FC Saarbrücken triumphed in the home game against SV Wehen Wiesbaden with a clear 3-1 win. Naifi, Brünker and Schmidt scored the goals for the blue-blacks, who led the team to deserved success.

Head coach Rüdiger Ziehl switched his team to two positions compared to the last game in Aue. Vasiliadis took over the square of Krahn in midfield, while Brünker began in the storm tip instead of Schmidt. The game was exciting from the first minute, even if the clear chances were initially in short supply. Naifi and Vasiliadis tried their luck, but their shots were blocked. Wiesbaden also only came to two half chances, while Saarbrücken dominated the game.

The way to victory

from the 25th minute, Saarbrücken became more dangerous. Vasiliadis prevailed, but the keeper Stritzel initially prevented the goal. In the 42nd minute it was time: Naifi put the hosts in the lead with a cool degree. With a 1-0 we went into the half -time break. After the change of sides, Saarbrücken continued and Brünker increased to 2-0 in the 48th minute after Naifi perfectly played the ball.

But Wiesbaden didn't give up! In the 64th minute, Kaya's goal fell, which after a controversial duel in front of Menzel's goal. Saarbrücken subsequently had to make some injury-related changes, but the blue-blacks remained on the pusher. In the 88th minute Schmidt was fouled in the penalty area and secured the due penalty safely. The 3-1 win was perfect and the fans celebrated a deserved home win!
