E-forklifts crashed into cars: passer-by under the tank column!

Zweibrücker Straße, Pirmasens, Deutschland - alarm mood on the professional site! In the early afternoon there was a dramatic incident: an electric forklift and a car crashed into each other, and the chaos broke out! A passerby was caught under a tank, from which dangerous battery acid expired. But don't panic - it was the annual main exercise of the work fire brigade!

At exactly 3 p.m., the sirens sounded on the factory premises on Zweibrücker Straße in Pirmasens. The fire brigade stormed with several duty to tent 96, where the accident had happened. Fortunately, the situation was under control and the firefighters were well prepared. "We have to be able to react to everything conceivable," said Jürgen Zipp, the deputy head of the Profine-Wehr. "The scenario is realistic, we have a lot of traffic at work." The fire brigade of the city of Pirmasens and the occupational medicine service were also on hand to support the exercise.

no fire, but great importance!

Although there was no real fire during this exercise and the fire hoses remained unused, the fire brigade showed how important its missions are. "Emergency services must be prepared for all eventualities," emphasized Zipp. Training was an important part of the safety precautions in the factory in order to be able to react quickly and efficiently in real emergencies. It was impressively demonstrated that even in a supposedly harmless exercise, the right measures for all uninvolved people must be taken.
