Neuwied starts climate -friendly heat planning: one step into the future!
Neuwied, Deutschland - The city of Neuwied sets a strong sign for the future! With the new municipal heat planning (KWP), the heat supply is made more climate -friendly. Together with the "Con | Energy Consult GmbH" and the Neuwied municipal utility, an ambitious project is launched, which is supported by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection with generous funding of 199,446 euros. This funding means that the city is being financially relieved and at the same time takes a crucial step towards climate neutrality by 2045.
In the coming months, Neuwied will collect data on the previous heat supply and the needs of the citizens. The aim is to develop innovative ideas and concrete measures that will cover the heat requirement in the future through renewable and climate -friendly technologies. "Municipal heat planning is a crucial step to reach our climate goals," emphasizes climate protection manager and project manager Julia Frimmersdorf. Mayor Jan Einig is also enthusiastic: "With this funding, we can plan long -term, sustainable heat supply and thus also relieve our citizens."
heat turn for everyone!
The KWP will benefit both private households and companies by offering planning security for future heating technologies and supply options such as close or district heating networks. Although municipal heat planning is informal and does not create legal obligations, it offers a valuable framework for the heat transition in Neuwied. The city will regularly inform the public about the progress of the project and create opportunities for participation so that all citizens can become part of this important change.
