Refurbishment of the bridge near Lütz: Construction work start in January 2025!

From mid-January 2025, the B49 between Treis-Karden and castles will become a construction site! The renovation of the bridge near Lütz, which is located in the Cochem-Zell district, will drastically change traffic management. The state company Mobility (LBM) Cochem-Koblenz has announced the work that is carried out under a half-side closure with traffic light control. This means: traffic jams and waiting times are inevitable!

As early as November 4, 2024, preparatory concrete repair work begins below the bridge. These measures should be completed by the end of November and will not affect road traffic. But the actual renovation work that begins on January 13, 2025 will inevitably lead to traffic disruptions!

The extensive renovation work includes the exhausts of the joints from the natural stone wall parapet, followed by new frame and the assembly of new railings. In good weather, the work should be completed by the end of February 2025. The road users are asked to show understanding of the inconvenience that these construction work bring with them.
