ENT doctors on the move: Professor Löhler is fighting for the future of care!

Neumünster, Deutschland - Neumünster/Mannheim. A strong sign for the future of ear, nose and throat medicine! Professor Jan Löhler was re-elected with overwhelming support as President of the German Professional Association of Hals-Nose and throat doctors. The decision was made during a decisive federal board meeting in Mannheim, as the association announced on Saturday. Löhler, who practices in Bad Bramstedt, remains at the top and will continue his vision for ENT medicine.

But that's not all! Also Dr. Kerstin Zeise from Berlin was confirmed as Vice President, and the renowned PD Dr. Christoph Aletsee from Bad Kreuznach took his place in the Presidium. He follows Stefan Drumm from Adendorf, who was inferior in an exciting duel. Dr. Dirk Heinrich also remains federal treasurer and ensures financial stability in the association.

challenges for the ENT doctors

After the election, Löhler expressed his concern about the current situation of the ENT doctors. "We are faced with the challenge of securing the ENT medical care close to home. Instead of listening to the votes of the doctors on site, outpatient care is blocked by dysfunctional legislation," says Löhler. The situation of the specialists has deteriorated, especially under the traffic light government. The uncertainties of the hospital reform burden both the practices and the clinics.

Löhler demands that the voice of the ENT doctors must become louder in the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians and medical associations. "ENT medicine is often overlooked as a small subject. We will motivate our mandate carriers to actively get involved in the committees," he emphasizes. A clear appeal for more visibility and influence in health policy!
