An exciting evening about a career in the police! On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, the Bad Dürkheim police station opened its doors for an exciting career information evening. With a full participation of seven interested teenagers and young adults between the ages of 14 and 25, the event became a real highlight for all aspiring police officers. It started at 6:00 p.m. sharp, and the young participants were ready to find out everything about the diverse career opportunities with the Rhineland-Palatinate police.

After the warm welcome from PHK Fischer and the recruitment consultants PK'in Berges and PK'in Einberger, the participants had the opportunity to introduce themselves. The participants talked about their desired educational path and their personal connection to the police, whether through family or friends. The round of introductions left no doubt that interest in police careers is not only alive among school leavers, but also among young adults looking to study.

Insights into everyday police life

The highlight of the evening was the extensive information about the various employment options for high school graduates and secondary school students. All facets of the police service were presented in detail, from the tasks in the protection and criminal police to the riot police. The demonstration of the protective equipment for life-threatening operations was particularly impressive, which impressively illustrated to the participants the challenges of police work. A real eye-catcher was the radio patrol car, which the participants were allowed to view and even get into themselves - a practical insight into the world of the police!

The evening was rounded off with a lively question and answer session in which the young interested people wanted to know everything that concerned them about the application process and professional life in the police. The positive response from those present leaves no doubt: this event will be repeated!
