Autumn sun in the outdoor pool: Karlsruhe attracts swimming until the end of October!
in Karlsruhe the sun is still beaming, and the outdoor pool puts on the swimmers in droves! Even at the end of October, the heated water is a real magnet that is worth the longest arrival even. The hot temperatures around 20 degrees and the mild weather make a bathing day in sunbathing simply irresistible. Everything is still possible here, from sporty pulling to relaxing relaxing on the edge of the pool!
Visitors like Irmela Engbarth from Birkenfeld are not trouble to accept the 1.5 hours of arrival. "Outdoor pool is simply an outdoor pool," so Engbarth with a smile while she looks at her gaze. For them, sunbathing is the perfect place to escape everyday stress. Skeptic faces? There is no such thing here! The doors of the 50-meter basin remain open until October 31, while the other pools already close for safety reasons.
swim until late at night
And the season is well accepted! Operations manager Roland Hilner reports on long opening hours - daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and even until 10 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday. "Many come to us after the office," he says delighted. The closure on October 31 after a last bathing pleasure will be regretted by the guests, but the anticipation for the next season is already noticeable! Oliver Sternagel, the bathing director, promises that the bathroom will open again next spring in mid-March and enjoy the guests the valuable extra summer.
100,000 enthusiastic visitors
The number of visitors speaks a clear language: This year around 100,000 guests are expected in sunbathing! This is another step in the right direction and a sign of the success of this extended outdoor pool season. The golden autumn does not let some regular guests shed away even in bad weather. And while the outdoor pools are already closed in other parts of the city, sunbathing remains a hot tip for all swimming enthusiasts until the last day!
