7.1 million euros for county: Flood victims urgently receive help!

Grafschaft, Deutschland - A huge financial thrust for the facilities affected by the flood disaster in county! State Secretary Simone Schneider presented Mayor Achim Juchem support notices of breathtaking 7.1 million euros. These funds come from the special fund "Building aid 2021" and are intended for urgently needed interim measures for day care centers and a temporary rescue station. "After the devastating flood, the local community of Grafschaft acted immediately in July 2021 and supported other municipalities, despite its own challenges," Schneider praised the tireless efforts of the community.

From the total of 7.1 million euros provided, impressive 5.6 million euros flow into the emergency accommodation of the Mauritius daycare center in Heimersheim as well as to the daycare centers Blandine Merten, St. Pius and St. Hildegard in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, all of which are operated by the Caritas Association Rhein-Mosel. These funds are crucial in order to make the temporary facilities functional again as quickly as possible. In addition, the municipality receives 1.5 million euros for the development of the container square of the provisional rescue station of the DRK Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler. These measures are essential to ensure the security and well -being of the affected children and the community.

The "Detective Aid 2021" aims to eliminate the devastating damage caused by the heavy rain and the flood on July 14th and 15th, 2021. So far, around 956 million euros in Rhineland-Palatinate have already been granted from the development aid fund for the restoration of the municipal infrastructure. A clear proof of the tireless use of the authorities who do everything possible to rebuild the region and to secure the quality of life of the citizens.
