A Lufthansa flight from Munich on Friday, November 8th turned into a whirlwind adventure that passengers won't soon forget! The presenter and voice actress Nina-Carissima Schönrock (38) was on board and experienced a series of bizarre mishaps, which ultimately culminated in a surprising speech by a prominent fellow passenger.
The well-known publicist Michel Friedman (68) took the microphone and cheered up the travelers. In a video shared on Instagram, he thanked the crew and captain for their tireless efforts. “If we actually fly in the next few minutes, this gratitude will explode again,” shouted Friedman, prompting the passengers to applaud heartily. “Someone who flies as much as I do doesn’t often have reason to thank crews,” he added. And that wasn't all - Schönrock noticed that other celebrities were also on board, returning from a flight back from the Bambi Festival.
Series of breakdowns and chaotic processes
But what led to this unexpected appearance? According to Schönrock, there were a number of problems that delayed the departure. The plane was not at the designated gate and the passengers had to take a bus to another plane. But the crew had difficulty organizing stairs for boarding because ground staff were not authorized to move them. Finally, the pilot, co-pilot and purser had to lend a hand to get the stairs - but it was the wrong one! After another 15 minutes of waiting and another change of stairs, the passengers were finally able to board.
The flight, which was supposed to take off at 11:35 a.m., ended up taking off at 12:32 p.m., about 45 minutes late. Despite the chaotic circumstances, the trip in Cologne ended with an unexpected highlight: Friedman's speech! But for Schönrock the odyssey wasn't over yet - her friend was waiting for her at the wrong airport in Düsseldorf. "In the meantime, I'm going to redo my face. Laughed too many tears," she wrote humorously to the editors.
