KFC Uerdingen starts into the future with a new board!

KFC Uerdingen is at a turning point after the club took some crucial steps to secure its future. In a test match against the Westphalia league team SpVgg Horsthausen, which will take place behind closed doors this evening, the club will also announce that it has implemented personnel changes that are intended to initiate a restart. These changes come at a time when KFC Uerdingen is urgently looking for a realignment.

In an official announcement, KFC Uerdingen announced the appointment of Peter Kahstein and Dirk Röthig as new board members. This decision was made by the Board of Directors to give the association a more stable foundation and address challenges on multiple levels. Thomas Platzer, the CEO, emphasizes the importance of these new appointments: “We are determined to overcome the existing challenges and sustainably strengthen KFC Uerdingen 05 e.V.”

New board and clear distribution of tasks

The new board members bring different expertise with them. Dirk Röthig, who works as a fully qualified lawyer, will deal with the association's legal and financial issues. The aim is to quickly address the unfinished issues in these areas. On the contrary, Peter Kahstein will concentrate on youth development as well as marketing and communication. It is important to take the needs of young members into account and promote transparent communication. The club sees particular importance in youth work and cooperation with Bayer 05 Uerdingen.

Another key point is the family situation of Adelat Güner, who cannot be available as a board member. However, he will remain with the club as a supporter as long as his time allows. This shows that the club continues to value long-term relationships and commitment.

The new board has also set itself the goal of professionalizing the association's management and eliminating existing deficits in areas such as communication, finance and human resources. Thomas Platzer calls for patience with the changes, as the path to stability and success will not be easy. "We know that there will be challenges that cannot be solved immediately. However, we are confident that we will find solutions together with our fans and supporters," he explains.

Particularly noteworthy is the collaboration with Mehmet Eser from M-SOCCERMANAGEMENT, who advises the club on sporting matters and looks after the team squad. Eser brings international experience, which is a great advantage for KFC Uerdingen, as this expertise is often crucial for the set sporting goals.

The decisions made and personnel changes are seen as the starting signal for a new era within the club. KFC Uerdingen strives to work closely with its members, fans and the city in order to emerge stronger from this difficult phase. “Together for a successful future for KFC Uerdingen 05 e.V., everyone for blue-red!” is the unanimous call of the new board.
