New paving of the Felmicke: debate for 53,000 euros in additional costs!

olpe. A heated argument about the re-paving of the Felmicke has heated the minds in the main and finance committee! The city administration reported additional costs of 53,000 euros, and the questions about the quality of the work are in the room. Was that really proper craftsmanship or just an expensive plaster for shaky stones?

The debate that had already flared up on the building committee flared up again on Monday. Green Group leader Zaklina Marjanovic accused the administration that the work was anything but commendable. "Everything is already wobbling," she said, describing how lots the stones were. UCW parliamentary group leader Christian Ratte asked whether the work was actually carried out correctly, while Volker Reichel defended the administration from the SPD and described the excitement around the few parking bays as exaggerated.

Crooked edges and additional costs

Klaus-Martin Ohm from the UCW accused the construction of the construction that the border stones were "crooked and crooked", which questions the quality of the work. Mayor Peter Weber was surprised by the continued debate and pointed out that such questions had to be clarified in the construction committee. But the technical deputy Judith Feldner could not give a clear answer because she was not a civil engineer. However, the civil engineering manager had previously stated that the construction work was properly handled.

The discussion continued to be responsible for the additional costs. Matthias Koch from the Greens criticized that the administration did not expect different road widths right from the start. Thomas Primavesi from the CDU warned that the acceptance of the work was crucial for the payment and called for a precise exam. Despite the concerns, the committee members of the CDU, FDP and Olo voted with 12 votes for the release of the 53,000 euros, while five members of Greens and UCW spoke against it. Another chapter in the heated debate about the new paving of the Felmicke is opened!
