Unknowns throw metal parts on the pedestrian zone - police are looking for witnesses!
An unusual incident caused a sensation in the morning in Minden in North Rhine-Westphalia. At around 10.10 a.m., the police received several calls from concerned passers -by who reported that various objects were thrown into the pedestrian zone from the upper floor of a parking garage on the Wesertor.
The incoming patrol car crew found "various metal connection pieces" on site, which could be ensured. Fortunately, nobody was injured in this incident, which defused this situation. The officers continued their investigation and found identical metal objects in the area of a balustrade of the parking garage that pointed out the throwing game. However, the supposed causers had already disappeared at this point.
description of the suspects
An important witness who had observed the incident was able to provide the police to valuable information. He noticed two children who stood on the balustrade at the time of the crime and held metal parts in his hand. It was probably boys aged about 10 to 14 years, who were estimated to be 1.50 meters tall. The description of one of the children who wore a striking white headband and had an earring was particularly concise. In addition, the children were traveling with scooters.
When the witness tried to address the two, they ran away in the direction of an emergency exit. The police ask the population for help and encourages possible witnesses to report on 0571/88660. Such incidents are not only dangerous, but also raise questions about security in public space.
