A moving day is imminent! On November 9, 2024, the 86th anniversary of the cruel November pogroms will be celebrated - a dark chapter in German history, in which thousands of Jews were brutally pursued, abused and murdered. These pogroms mark the shocking transition from discrimination against systematic persecution, orchestrated by the National Socialist regime. On this fateful day, anti -Semitism was legitimate and the horrors of racism opened openly.

The Mettmann Alliance for Tolerance and Civil Courage invites everyone to take part in a memorial event at the Koburg Memorial at Lavalplatz. This moving ceremony is designed by pupils from the Heinrich-Heine-Gymnasium and begins at 6 p.m. Not only is the victims of the National Socialist tyranny, but also the current victims of increasing anti -Semitic and racist attacks in Germany.
But that's not all! At 6:30 p.m., the Evangelical Church Freiheitsstraße becomes the setting for a unique concert with the "Microphone mafia". The well -known artist and activist Kutlu Yurtseven and Joram Bejarano, son of the Holocaust survivor Esther Bejarano, will make a special kind of musical evening in a fascinating dialogue with the audience.
