in Hilden, October 23, 2024, burned in a garden and ensured a dramatic use of the fire brigade! Around 9:51 a.m., the fire brigade was alerted to a devastating fire at the level crossing "An der Gölden". When they arrive, the emergency services found a gazebo in full fire. Despite intensive deletion measures, the fire spread to a second arbor, and tragically a dog was found dead.

The fire brigade was in action with around 40 emergency services and received support from Langenfeld. While the flames were urgently combated, the Erkrath fire brigade was ready to ensure fire protection in Hilden. The risk of an assault on a nearby Deutsche Bahn electricity mast and an adjacent residential building could be averted through targeted measures. The railway line was immediately closed to the security of the citizens.

The police have initiated the investigation and does not rule out that the fire was deliberately laid. The fire location was confiscated and the criminal police are taking over the further examinations of the cause of the fire. The total damage is estimated on an average five -digit sum.
