Art night and autumn market: Opladen is celebrating a colorful weekend!

The upcoming weekend in Leverkusen promises a varied program of art, market and culinary delights. The city expects numerous visitors who can look forward to various events.

Friday, October 11th

The art night begins in the evening, celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. A record number of 75 institutions, associations and initiatives are opening their doors to interested guests. From 6 p.m., visitors have the opportunity to admire works of art in the various locations and get to know the creative work of regional artists. A special advertising column gallery runs across Leverkusen and offers additional works of art that enrich the public space.

In addition, a concert by pianist Thomas Lambrich will take place on Friday in the recreation center at Nobelstrasse 37. The performance entitled “Suoni di colore” begins at 7:30 p.m. Music lovers are warmly invited here, tickets are available online from 8 p.m.

Saturday, October 12th

Another highlight is the Opladen autumn market, which is being held this weekend in the pedestrian zone. On the two days, October 12th and 13th, visitors can enjoy a wide range of offerings. The fresh market will be integrated, particularly on Saturday, followed by an expansion of the market on Sunday. Merchants offer a range from jewelry to leather goods to delicacies such as Oktoberfest beer. The promotion runs on both days and ensures a lively shopping experience, with information stands from local businesses also present.

At the same time, a culinary weekend is being celebrated in Burscheid, where various gastronomic offerings are available on the market square. There are numerous dishes that appeal to both meat lovers and vegetarians, including game dishes and burgers, complemented by a selection of drinks such as wine and sparkling wine. The shops in Burscheid are also open and are supporting the event with shopping on Sunday.

For music lovers there is a concert by Nicolai Dembrowski on Saturday. The performance will take place from 7:30 p.m. in the Kultur-Badehaus and will present a mixture of Ukrainian folk songs as well as works by well-known composers such as Robert Schumann and Johann Sebastian Bach.

Sunday, October 13th

On Sunday, sport and charity will be combined when the Nordic walkers with heart from Hitdorf organize their second charity run. The run takes place at the Solingen Hilden fishing club at Voigtslach 20 and aims to generate income for a good cause through participation.
