Art night and autumn market: Opladen celebrates a colorful weekend!
The upcoming weekend in Leverkusen promises a varied program of art, market and culinary delights. The city expects numerous visitors who can look forward to various events.
Friday, October 11th
In the evenings, the art night begins, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. A record number of 75 institutions, clubs and initiatives opens their doors to interested guests. From 6 p.m., visitors have the opportunity to admire works of art in the different locations and to get to know the creative work of regional artists. A special lit -barrier gallery runs across Leverkusen and offers additional works of art that enrich the public space.
In addition, a concert by pianist Thomas Lambrich will take place on Friday in the recreational house at Nobelstraße 37. The performance entitled "Suoni di Colore" begins at 7.30 p.m. Musical lovers are cordially invited here, tickets are available online from 8 p.m.
Saturday, October 12th
Another highlight is the Opladen autumn market, which will be held in the pedestrian zone this weekend. On the two days, October 12th and 13th, visitors can enjoy a diverse offer. The fresh market will be integrated in particular on Saturday, followed by an expansion of the market on Sunday. Dealers offer a range of jewelry to leather goods to delicacies such as Oktoberfest beer. The campaign runs on both days and ensures a lively shopping experience, whereby information stands of local companies are also represented.
At the same time, a culinary weekend is celebrated in Burscheid, where various gastronomic offers attract on the marketplace. There are numerous dishes that appeal to both meat lovers and vegetarians, including wild dishes and burger, supplemented by a selection of drinks such as wine and sparkling wine. The shops in Burscheid are also open and support the event with a Sunday open.
For music lovers there is a concert by Nicolai Dembrowski on Saturday. The performance will take place in the Kultur-Badehaus from 7.30 p.m. and presents a mixture of Ukrainian folk songs as well as works by well-known composers such as Robert Schumann and Johann Sebastian Bach.
Sunday, October 13th
On Sunday, sports and charity are connected when the Nordic Walker organizes their second donation run with a heart from Hitdorf. The run takes place at the Solingen Hilden fishing club on Voigtslach 20 and aims to generate income for a good cause by participating. Interested parties can find out about the conditions of participation online and by email.
While these events focus on art, culture and community, they are also an important part of the identity of Leverkusen.
