HEV is again subject in Leipzig: eighth away defeat sealed!

Leipzig, Deutschland - The Herne ice sports club had to take another bitter defeat in Leipzig on Saturday. With a disappointing 2: 6 (0: 1/0: 2/2: 3), the team conceded their eighth away defeat in the eighth game. The team competed without the injured defenders Justus Meyl and Hugo Enock, which turned out to be a decisive disadvantage.

The first two thirds were characterized by a dominant performance of the KSW Icefighter. Herne was able to make the first section open, but five seconds before the first siren, the hosts used an overpayment game and took the lead. In the second third, the trend continued: Leipzig also converted the next overpainting chances into goals and expanded the lead to 3-0. Despite a short catch -up in the last third, when Valentin Pfeifer and Oliver Ott shortened the game to 3: 2, the deficit was quickly restored. Another mistake in the defensive led to 4: 2, and the final decision was made with an Empty-Net-Goal to 5: 2.
