Heinsberg, Deutschland - A day full of saxophone sounds converted the Heinsberg youth music school into a musical paradise! With over 30 participants, the third edition of "Saxophone Total!" A terrific comeback. Headmaster Theo Krings had invited the best saxophonists and university lecturers to convey valuable tips and techniques to the talented musicians in the Region. The young talents learned the right practice while the more experienced players dive into the world of the latest playing techniques.

a concert of extra class

The crowning end of the day was a rousing concert that captivated the audience. The internationally celebrated soloist Xavier Larsson Paez from the University of Music and Dance Hanns Eisler Berlin and Professor Oskar Laznik from the Conservatory for Music and Ballet Ljubljana delighted the audience with their performances. The student trio, consisting of Tori with João Rodrigues and Johanna Gronfsfeld, opened the evening with an impressive processing of Schostakovich's works for old and soprano saxophone.

The musical journey continued with the modern play "The Angel of Despair II" by Hiroyuki Itoh, which was presented by Oskar Laznik. Tango fans also got their money's worth when Anže Rupnik and Andraina Rolão "Café 1930" by Astor Piazolla gave the best. The speed and virtuosity of Xavier Larsson Paez in "Mi Bailaora" was breathtaking, and the audience experienced a premiere with the Brillante Brillante by Francois Borne, which was reinterpreted by Lukas Stappenbeck and Theo Krings.

After the break, the lecturers showed their skills with "La Vida Breve" by Manuel de Falla, before the Saxophonietta, the Saxophon Orchestra of the HfMT Cologne, crowned the evening with a grandiose performance. With 13 to 15 saxophones they kidnapped the listeners into a world of classic and modern sounds, including the famous "L’Arlésienne" by Georges Bizet and the exciting composition "Extra Sensory Perception" by Marc Mellits. The audience was enthusiastic and experienced an unforgettable evening full of musical highlights!
