Conference in Erkelenz: Experts discuss child development!

In Erkelenz it is boiling! A conference that puts the alarming health problems of children and adolescents into the spotlight has lured almost 300 specialists and interested parties into the town hall. Teachers, educators, psychologists and concerned parents have come together to discuss language development disorders, ADHD, autism and other critical topics. Annette Sielschott from the regional educational office opened the event and emphasized the urgency to tackle the challenges together.

District Administrator Stephan Pusch left no doubt in his welcoming speech that the health status of the young generation is worrying. "We have to do something!" He called and referred to the alarming increase in motor development disorders and obesity. The conference, which was initiated by Sielschott, offered a platform for the exchange between experts and specialists. With seven exciting lectures and lively discussions during the breaks, the exchange was referred to as a "exchange with pleasure", with creative snacks from local fitness groups also caused a sensation.

a call for action!

Pusch emphasized that this conference must not remain a unique event. In view of the growing diseases of civilization, a broad social movement is necessary, which already begins in family and toddlers. "We need a broad social movement that is moving," said Pusch. The participants agreed: it is up to them to recognize and tackle deficits in child development. The specialist conference should take place annually in the future in order to further promote the exchange and cooperation. "Every daycare, every school, every family has to become a small therapy center," said Sielschott and closed with the positive feedback from the participants, who were enthusiastic about the variety and the possibilities of exchange.
