New at the head of the Mainz 1 police inspection, the old town center, is a police councilor Ann-Kathrin Grabowski. The experienced 42-year-old, who previously held a leadership position at the Rhineland-Palatinate Water Protection Police, now takes responsibility for more than 100 forces. She succeeds Linda Thiehove, who is now working in the Rhineland-Palatinate Interior Ministry. Another impressive recruitment is the appointment of police chief Nina Schnabel as the new head of the Mainz 2 police inspection, which also includes the Neustadtrevier. Schnabel, the long -time lecturer at the police University of Applied Sciences, also becomes deputy head of the Mainz police department and replaces Corinna Koch, who is changing for the Worms police department.

Another significant change: Criminal leader Yurdaer Inanli is now the new head of crime inspection 2, which focuses on politically motivated crime, organized crime and cybercrime. The 48-year-old Inanli brings extensive experience from his previous position as head of department at the Rhineland-Palatinate State Criminal Police Office and will make a decisive contribution to combating severe crime in Mainz with his expertise.
In addition, police councilor Mike Thull was appointed to the leadership as the successor to Nina Schnabel.
