Hamm receives over 10 million euros for sponsorship and environmental axis!
Kleine Alleestraße 4, 59065 Hamm, Deutschland - An exciting day for Hamm! The city has received the green light for two major major projects, which are funded with over ten million euros. Thomas Sommer, head of department 3 at the Arnsberg district government, presented the funding notice to Mayor Marc Herter in the Hammer Rathaus. This generous support from urban development in 2024 is used for the construction of the new carrier house and the first section of the "Green Environmental Axis Werries".
The sponsoring house on Kleine Alleestraße is funded with around 9.35 million euros, while the total cost of the project is around 10.7 million euros. Important facilities such as the Hammer Tafel and AIDShilfe will receive new, needs -based premises. The building application will soon be submitted and the first construction work is expected to begin at the end of 2025. The city is ready to promote the planning and start the tenders for the construction work.
Environmental Axis Werries: One step into the green future
The second project, the "Green Environmental Axis Werries", receives funding of around 1.03 million euros. This measure will redesign the connection from the Datteln Hamm Canal to Maxipark. The first construction phase comprises the entrance area of the Maxipark, a sports and movement axis and the construction of a bicycle terminal. The city has already completed the detailed planning and is ready to write out the construction work. The first work is to begin in spring 2025, which means another step towards a greener and more livable city.
