The spectacular screen epic “Hagen – In the Valley of the Nibelungs”, which tells the legendary Nibelungen saga from impressive new perspectives, is currently thrilling in cinemas. This breathtaking film adaptation shows how great German fantasy cinema can be. But that's just the beginning! Next year we can look forward to an exciting expansion of this story.

The series: More Hagen for everyone!

From the beginning, the film adaptation of Wolfgang Hohlbein's reinterpretation of Nibelungen was conceived as a major fantasy event that would be released in two versions: both as a film and in the form of a mini-series. Fans can be happy because the series version will outperform the cinema version many times over! The new mini-series “Hagen – In the Nibelung Valley” will consist of six episodes, each of which is expected to be around 45 minutes long - that makes a total of an impressive 270 minutes, exactly twice as long as the 135-minute cinema version!

It is not yet known whether the series version will offer new, captivating content or exciting character development. But one thing is certain: the story will expand the wide fantasy spectrum! The series will premiere in 2025 on the RTL+ streaming service, although the exact start date is still to be determined.
