A shocking incident shakes the Christmas market in Magdeburg on December 21, 2024, where a driver raced into a crowd and cost five people. Over 200 other people were injured, many of them seriously. The alleged perpetrator, a 50-year-old doctor from Saudi Arabia called Taleb A., was arrested at the scene. This was known as an ex-Muslim and Islam-critical activist and has lived in Germany since 2006. He had previously noticed confusions against German authorities on social media in which he accused them of insufficient measures against Islamism.
