From the barn find to rarity: the restoration of the pagoda is enthusiastic!

In the heart of Bottrop, there is currently an impressive restoration of a Mercedes-Benz W113, often affectionately called the "pagoda". This automobile rarity, which was first presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 1963, has achieved a coveted position among collectors in decades. This model was originally produced by around 50,000 pieces by 1971, with a large part exported to the USA. The clear lines and the sporty Cabriolet design met the ravages of time and made the vehicle a timeless classic, such as TV Movie reported.

The current restoration is carried out by Brabus Classic, a specialist for classic cars. Here the vehicle is relocated to its original state in months. The model to be restored is a 1969 Mercedes-Benz 280SL with a 6-cylinder engine and an impressive engine output of 170 hp. It has an elegantly designed blue fabric cover and the interior made of beige leather gives the vehicle additional charm. The restoration also includes the complete overhaul of the vehicle, including the technical components such as the 4-speed manual transmission and the unique precious wood equipment, such as Classic Digest Rece.

The "Pagoda" is not only a symbol of technical sophistication, but also part of the automotive history that marks the transition from rounds to angular designs in the automotive industry. The restoration of such a vehicle is an elaborate and demanding task that requires dedication and deep specialist knowledge. The new owners of this rarity will surely experience incomparable driving pleasure while driving through the streets and taking a look that such a masterpiece of automotive technology deserves.
